Our approach

Mindfulness, skills and connection

Sobriety is the first step. We focus on what comes next: lasting changes in how you think, feel and relate to other people. Every day starts at 6 am with a beach or lake walk, yoga or meditation.

Buddhist-inspired mindfulness

Meditation, awareness and intentional growth, shaped by Thai Buddhist culture and the two temples close to the house.

CBT and DBT skills

Practical tools to notice unhelpful thinking, regulate emotions, tolerate distress and communicate well with others.

Connection and community

Group therapy, psychoeducation and shared daily life. Non-12-step, and fully supportive of AA, NA, SMART and Recovery Dharma.

Why Khao Tao

Peaceful without being isolated

Khao Tao is our favourite part of Hua Hin: traditional yet quietly modern, with gentle hills, temples, local Thai restaurants and welcoming cafés close by.

  • Under 5 minutes' walk to the reservoir and two beaches
  • 2.5 to 3 hours from Bangkok by car or train
